Tesco shoppers face a race against time to spend £17 million worth of Clubcard vouchers before they expire. BirminghamLive reports the store issued a warning to customers last month as vouchers expire at the end of May.
Shoppers have to use coupons first issued in May 2020 before the end of this month. They will be null and void if they don't.
Alessandra Bellini, Tesco chief customer officer, said in April: “We know it’s tough right now, which is why we want to show customers all the ways we can help them spend less, and leave them with more money in their pockets to manage the rising cost of living, or to treat themselves and their loved ones.”
Ken Murphy, chief executive at Tesco, said: “Our priority is to be the most convenient retailer. That means serving customers wherever, whenever and however they want."
Tesco Clubcard vouchers are issued every three months, in February, May, August and November. They are valid for two years and you can check if you have forgotten vouchers by logging into the Tesco Clubcard website with your account details.
Tesco plans to scrap its automatic statements and vouchers so that they will no longer arrive through the letterbox in a new shake-up of the loyalty scheme.
