Tesco Clubcard customers have been warned to check their vouchers as over £17 million worth of savings will expire in May. The supermarket giant says that vouchers which were issued in May 2020 will be worthless by May 31, 2022 - just a few weeks from now, the Mirror reported.
Clubcard vouchers are issued once every three months, in February, May, August and November, and are valid for two years. But Tesco is alerting customers that they must use their vouchers soon to get money off while shopping.
To get vouchers through the Clubcard loyalty scheme, customers have to earn points by spending money in Tesco. Shoppers get one point for every £1 they spend in store and online, or one point for every £2 spent on fuel.

You can also collect points through Tesco Bank and Tesco Mobile. You need a minimum of 150 points to get a voucher, which will give you £1.50 to spend in Tesco, or you can save them up and 500 points would be worth £5, for example.
Points can also be redeemed for up to three times their value with one of the Tesco Clubcard reward partners. That means vouchers worth £10 of savings in Tesco could amount to £30 at Pizza Express, or could be redeemed against Cineworld tickets.
You can check your Clubcard Voucher balance and expiry dates through the Tesco website or app. Alessandra Bellini, Tesco chief customer officer, said: “We know it’s tough right now, which is why we want to show customers all the ways we can help them spend less.“
Tesco says it will contact customers via email if they have Clubcard vouchers that are due to expire, as long as they have their contact details. You can check if you have forgotten vouchers by logging into the Tesco Clubcard website with your account details.
Once you are logged in, click on “my Clubcard account” and then “vouchers” and you will see a list of the vouchers you still have to spend. You can spend any leftover vouchers online straight away, or print them out from home to use them in store.
