With prices rising, many shoppers are looking for bargains as they wheel their trolleys around supermarkets. But scanning the shelves to compare similar items does not give an indication of how much those prices have risen in recent weeks.
There's no need for anyone to take a pencil and paper either to jot down what things cost from week to week as a new set of data has compiled prices to inform customers about changes. A price comparison site has revealed each item that has increased in price over the last month at major supermarkets.
Some common items have increased in price by up to 30 per cent in recent weeks. Secret shopper comparisons, conducted by reporters for Nationalworld, aimed to determine exactly which products have faced hikes by Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Aldi, reports Wales Online.
