Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Lidl issue urgent product recalls of foods that may cause harm

Urgent product recalls have had to be issued for a number of food products for fears they may harm consumers. The items being recalled include mixed fruit and nuts, beer and fish oil.

The Food Standards Agency issues recalls to ensure consumers are aware there may be a problem with products that makes them unfit for sale. The Food Standards Agency issues 'Product Withdrawal Information Notices' and 'Product Recall Information Notices' to let consumers and local authorities know about problems associated with food, reports PlymouthLive.

Tesco has issued three product recalls, including mixed fruit and nuts, which are believed to contain milk. The supermarket giant has also issued recalls on Vocation beer 'due to fermentation in some of the cans, causing them to swell and potentially burst', and vitamins that are above the legal dosage limit.
