Customers have been warned to return a list of items to Tesco, Aldi and other major supermarkets due to risks over safety.
The products have been recalled by the stores and people have been told they will receive a full refund even without a receipt.
Reasons for the items being taken back cover anything from missing ingredients on food packaging which is a risk to those with allergies, to the risk of food poisoning and contamination.
Product recalls have been issued by the Food Standards Agency, which takes action when an item could prove a risk to consumers.
Tesco is recalling its Free From Bran Flakes because some packs may contain a small amount of another cereal variant (chocolate pillows) that contain milk and hazelnut (nuts) which are not mentioned on the label.

The issue affects 300g packs with a best before date of May 26, 2024.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) stated: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents and/or an allergy to hazelnut (nuts) do not eat it. Instead, return it to a Tesco store for a full refund, no receipt is required. For further details please contact Tesco customer services on 0800 505 555.”
Aldi is recalling various Harvest Morn High Protein Bars because they contain milk and/or peanuts and/or soya, which may not be emphasised in bold type on the label.
This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, an allergy to peanuts and/or an allergy to soya.
Iceland continues to recall its Takeaway Chicken Bhuna because it contains milk that is not declared on the label. As a result of a packaging error, some packs may contain Iceland Takeaway Creamy Butter Chicken.

The FSA said: "Sometimes there will be a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold.
"Then it might be 'withdrawn' (taken off the shelves) or ' recalled' (when customers are asked to return the product).
"Sometimes foods have to be withdrawn or recalled if there is a risk to consumers because the allergy labelling is missing or incorrect or if there is any other food allergy risk.
"When there is a food allergy risk, the FSA will issue an Allergy Alert."
