Terrifying video on TikTok shows group of teenagers 'scutting' on back of Dublin Bus

A shocking video on TikTok shows a group of teenagers "scutting" on the back of a Dublin Bus on the northside of the capital.

"Scutting" is the extremely dangerous act of hanging on to the back of a moving bus.

The terrifying footage, which appeared on the popular social media app, shows what appears to be five teenage males hanging on to the back of a 27B Dublin Bus which is driving along the Malahide Road at Artane Cottages.

The 27B route runs from Harristown near Dublin Airport to Eden Quay in the city centre.

One of the teens turns to look at the camera as the bus drives by and appear to stand up as they hang on. The brief clip is just the latest in a series of "scutting" incidents on Dublin's public transport.

A video of the incident can be seen on our sister website, Dublin Live.

Back in May a viral video saw many show their surprise that "scutting" is still around.

Other incidents emerged in 2020 and in June 2020 it was reported that there was over 60 instances of the dangerous practise on Luas and DART in three years.

A Dublin Bus spokeswoman previously told Dublin Live: "Dublin Bus is aware of these types of incidents. These are extremely dangerous actions which could result in serious injury and Dublin Bus strongly discourages anyone from partaking in such reckless behaviour."
