A car and motorcycle went up in flames during a horror crash on a busy country road.
People rushed to help as a car and motorcycle burst into flames on Renacres Lane in Halsall on Wednesday, June 1. Lancashire Police and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service both attended with no serious injuries being reported.
LFRS attended the scene at around 8.30pm with two engines arriving at the scene. Firefighters used two hose reel jets, small tools and had to give one casualty oxygen therapy following the crash before being handed over to North West Ambulance Service.

Dean Currall who lives on the bend with his two-year-old son and wife told the ECHO about how he helped put out the motorcycle fire but the car fire was too big.
"Me and one of the neighbours put out the bike fire but the car fire was too big and we only had a certain number of fire extinguishers in the house."
The 34-year-old described living on the bend as "terrifying" as he tries to protect his child from any potential dangers. He said: "It's terrifying because we've got a child and so do next door. Next door have a three-month-old baby and we have a two-year-old who's always out in the garden and it only takes for him to walk in the road and that's it.
"I appreciate it's a country road but on Renacres Lane there's more than 30 homes within the 60mph section. It's so residential."
An LFRS spokesperson said: "Two fire engines from Ormskirk and Skelmersdale attended a road traffic collision on Renacres Lane in Halsall. Firefighters used two hose reel jets, small tools and gave oxygen therapy to one casualty, who was then handed over into the care of North West Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for approximately an hour."
Lancashire Police confirmed there were no serious injuries.
