Terrified senior citizens living in a gated apartment complex have said they’re “so afraid” after a man was stabbed to death in one of the flats.
The victim, who was named locally as David Ennis and in his late 30s, was attacked in Ballyfermot, Dublin, in the early hours yesterday. A woman in her 40s was arrested in relation to the stabbing and was being quizzed last night at Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
The horror incident took place in Claddagh Court. Dublin Live understands the pensioner who owns the property was in the apartment at the time of the stabbing. Gardai and emergency services raced to the scene shortly after 2.30am yesterday. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene but he was pronounced dead a short time later.
