Bo Nix was one of the most polarizing quarterback prospects heading into the 2024 NFL Draft, and despite some of the success he has already had in the pros, remains such.
Nix, who has completed 61.8% of his passes for 866 yards with three touchdowns and four interceptions over five games, has drawn a mixed bag of opinions.
Former Broncos standout Terrell Davis is among those who wants the see more from Nix before he’s sold on the quarterback… or Denver in general for that matter.
“They won two games with him as the quarterback – but he hasn’t played great,” says Davis in a one-on-one interview with RG.org on behalf of his partnership with Wells Fargo. “You have some people watching it and saying, ‘OK, I know it’s in there, but I need to see it. I need to see that top 12 draft pick.’ And you don’t see it every game. You don’t see it consistently. There’s a little bit of a concern about it until I see it.”
Despite some of his follies through the air that has caused him to be criticized, Nix has caught positive attention for his efforts on the ground, tallying 119 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 31 carries.
How Nix builds upon the foundation he’s set to so far, and how he may continue to rise as a starting NFL quarterback, will be something to keep an eye on.
The Broncos are set to host the Los Angeles Chargers up next on the schedule, playing host at Empower Field at Mile High. Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. ET.
