Terrace Marshall Jr. is finally looking to break out here in 2023. But he may have just suffered a setback to those hopes.
The third-year wideout was carted off the practice field on Monday. Based on an initial observation from Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer, Marshall Jr. didn’t seem to sustain too serious of an injury.
Head coach Frank Reich was asked about Marshall Jr. following this afternoon’s session.
“He tweaked a little something in his back,” Reich replied. “So, again, that checked out. I haven’t got the report on it yet.
Marshall Jr. is entering the third year of his NFL career. The former second-round pick, who had been tabbed as a potential breakout star for much of his first two seasons, amassed just 490 receiving yards and one touchdown off 45 receptions between 2021 and 2022.
He is currently listed with the second-team receivers on Carolina’s current depth chart, behind veteran DJ Chark.
