Tens of thousands of people gathered outside the royal palace in Oslo on Saturday to pay tribute to Norway's King Harald V, laying flowers and condolence cards a day after the monarch died at the age of 89.
A vast display of colourful flowers covered Slottsplassen, the square in front of the palace, as a steady stream of Norwegians filed past.
