Tens of millions of lives at risk if Putin reimposes grain blockade, says Zelensky

Tens of millions of lives will be put at risk if Vladimir Putin is allowed to reimpose a blockade on grain exports from Ukraine, its president Volodymyr Zelensky warned on Wednesday.

He appealed to the West to respond firmly to any Russian attempts to disrupt Ukraine’s grain export corridor, as more ships were loading despite Moscow suspending its participation in a United Nations-brokered deal.
