Tens of millions of children face dangerous levels of heat from missed climate targets

Failure to limit global warming to 1.5°C would condemn 83 per cent of today’s five-year olds to dangerous levels of extreme heat in their lifetimes, new research published today has found.

The report, which has been published by Save the Children and Vrije Universiteit Brussel, maps out the impact of the climate crisis on children by simulating climate outcomes across several temperature extremes.
