The final hurdle in getting Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry back on the field for the divisional-round matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals has been cleared.
The Titans have activated the superstar running back off Injured Reserve, clearing the way for him to make his return to the field after suffering a serious foot injury in Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts.
The biggest concern with Henry now is rust, as it has been about 11 weeks since he last played in a game. However, if anyone can overcome said rust, it’s Henry, who keeps himself in phenomenal shape all year long.
The good news is that the Titans do have a solid option behind Henry if he can’t handle a full workload. Fellow back, D’Onta Foreman, has played well in Henry’s absence and can spell him if need be.
Henry will officially make his return when the Titans host the Bengals at Nissan Stadium on Saturday, with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. CST.
