A viral Reddit post accused a Tennessee Nissan dealership of sending out mailers in envelopes marked “The U.S. Department of the Treasury Bureau of the Fiscal Service,” a real agency in charge of handling the government finances.
The Reddit post shows a photo of the marked envelope with the repayment reduction notice from the car dealership. Some immediately questioned whether the post was real, noting that the return postage shows Florida, and Nissan Gallatin, the dealership listed on the paperwork that was supposedly enclosed, is in Tennessee. Nissan Gallatin has not been charged with any crime.
