Ten-metre-wide ‘fountain of filth’ appears on London’s South Bank

A 10-metre-wide "fountain of filth" has appeared on London's South Bank, featuring statues of men, women, and children appearing to vomit murky brown water.

Coinciding with the release of Channel 4's sewage crisis drama Dirty Business, the installation was created by 4Creative, Glue Society and Biscuit Filmworks.

It is a "sickening reflection of the real experiences of those who believe they were made ill by exposure to waterways polluted with untreated sewage," Channel 4 said, drawing attention to the "heartbreaking human cost of Britain’s sewage scandal."
