Ten dogs and puppies found 'half dead' after being left in hot vans in 40C

A transport firm has sparked fury after 10 dogs and puppies were found "half dead" after being left in vans on a ferry on the hottest day of the year.

The dehydrated pups - some of which were Labradors - were being transported across the Channel from Germany through France to the UK in 40C on Tuesday.

The company responsible for the shipment, Daisybrook Kennels and Transport Services, apologised for an "error in judgement" after the puppies were struggling to "hold their heads up".
