Ten candidates have filed to appear on South Carolina’s Republican presidential primary ballot

Republican South Carolina Chris Christie Donald Trump Doug Burgum Ron DeSantis Ryan Binkley Vivek Ramaswamy

The filing deadline for the South Carolina Republican presidential primary passed on Oct. 31, 2023. Ten candidates qualified to appear on the Feb. 24, 2024, ballot. To qualify, candidates had to submit paperwork and pay a $50,000 filing fee to the state party.

The following candidates qualified:

  • Ryan Binkley
  • North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum
  • John Anthony Castro
  • Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie
  • Florida Governor Ron DeSantis
  • Former U.N. Ambassador and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley
  • Vivek Ramaswamy 
  • U.S. Senator from South Carolina Tim Scott 
  • David Stuckenberg
  • Former President Donald Trump
