Temperatures set to plummet in Greater Manchester as cold snap hits

Temperatures across Greater Manchester are set to plummet this weekend as conditions become more gloomy.

While some parts of the North have been hit with a flood warning, this will narrowly miss our region with areas such as the North East of England and Yorkshire mainly affected. Despite this, the Met Office still predicts conditions to be unsatisfactory this weekend as dark clouds gear up to dominate the sky.

Today will be the only chance to spot any sun while it makes a short appearance in the later afternoon - after that, it's unlikely you will see it at all for the rest of the week, according to early forecast predictions. If you want to ensure that you don't get caught out by the dreary weather this weekend, read our summary of Greater Manchester's weather for the weekend ahead.
