Chippy owners across Greater Manchester were left disappointed after being snubbed at the annual awards of the National Federation of Fish Friers. No shops from the region were included in the top 10 of the awards, considered the most prestigious in the industry, which was dominated by Yorkshire chippies taking four spots.
Prestwich chippy Chips @ No 8 came close after making the final 20 but sadly fell short at the final hurdle, with owner Dan Edwards left 'gutted' after missing out.
