Fast-growing telecoms equipment supplier 4Com has continued its recent expansion with the acquisition of Reach Digital Telecoms.
The deal is Bournemouth-based 4Com’s fourth in 10 months. With its latest purchase, the company has now added 3,000 acquired customers.
Shropshire-based Reach Digital Telecoms provides phone systems, mobile apps, and broadband services to 1,200 business customers, which now join 4Com’s client base of 13,000.
4Com completed its first buyout in its almost 25-year history with the purchase of West Bromwich-based Midshire Telecom last summer.
It followed that up with a takeover of Norwich-based Eastern Voice and Dat a in November and a deal for Northampton-based Bluebell Cloud Solutions' business customers in January.
4Com said it was expecting to make further acquisitions “in the months to come” as part of its ongoing growth strategy.
Chief executive Gary Scutt said: “The purchase of Reach is another landmark moment for us here at 4Com and reflects the success of each of our acquisitions so far. The Reach deal will help further accelerate our growth, and they will be a welcome addition to our group.
“Reach has all the characteristics that 4Com look for in a company and their skills and expertise will complement 4Com well. We are pleased to welcome them on board and look forward to a successful future together.”
Haydn Neville, joint managing director at Reach Digital Telecoms, added, “We are incredibly proud of what our team has achieved and the reputation we have built within the telecoms industry. After discussions with 4Com, we felt the acquisition was the natural progression in Reach’s journey and know we will be in very capable hands with them.”
