HYDERABAD: A tractor driver and two brick kiln workers died when the tractor overturned after its driver suffered a cardiac arrest while returning to a brick kiln at Samsthan Narayanpur in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district on Friday.
The deceased were identified as tractor driver Ellayya (50) and brick kiln workers, Seetharam (32) and his wife Gouri (28), who hailed from Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh. Three brick kiln workers, Suri Babu (28), his wife Durgamma and Seetharam’s daughter Aparna (6) suffered minor injuries.According to cops, the accident occurred when workers were returning to the brick kiln in Sherigudem near Samsthan Narayanpur after unloading bricks at Palivela village.
“At Erragunta village, Ellayya collapsed on the steering wheel and fell unconscious. We suspect that he suffered cardiac arrest. The tractor veered off the road and overturned. Ellayya and two workers sitting behind him were crushed under the tractor,” Narayanpur SI V Yugender said. tnn
