The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad on Saturday announced the results of the State Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (EAPCET) 2024.

Three of the top-five rankers, including the first two ranks in the two streams, hail from Andhra Pradesh.

The top rankers in Engineering stream are Sattivada Jyotiraditya (Palakonda, Andhra Pradesh), Gollaleka Harsha (Kurnool, A.P.), Rishi Shekar Shukla (Trimulgherry, Hyderabad), Kovalapalli Sandesh (Khanamet, Hyderabad) and Sai Yashwant Reddy (Kurnool, A.P.).

The top five rankers in Agriculture and Pharmacy stream are: A. Pranitha (Madanapally, A.P.), Radha Krishna (Vizianagaram, A.P.), Gaddam Sri Varshini (Hanmakonda), Sompally Saketh Raghav (Chittoor, A.P.) and Repala Sai Vivek (Hyderabad).

TSCHE Chairman R. Limbadri said a total of 3,55,182 students registered for the test. In all, 61,415 students from A.P. registered for the test and nearly 2.94 lakh students were from Telangana.

The total number of students qualified saw a dip compared to the past year. While Engineering stream witnessed a 5% fall from around 80% in 2023 and 2022 to 74.98 now, Agriculture & Pharmacy bettered the tally from 86.31% last year to 89.66% now. It is also the first EAPCET, replacing EAMCET, after medical entrance test is through NEET.

Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions later in the day stated in a release that the toppers in both the streams, Sativada Jyotiraditya and Pranitha, are its students. In Engineering stream, its four students were in the top-10, and in Agriculture & Pharmacy stream, seven students were in the top-10 list. The institute also said 51 of the top-100 ranks were bagged by its students.
