The municipality of Tel Aviv-Jaffa in Israel is set to participate in a half-day strike on Monday in solidarity with the hostages and their families. This decision comes after the tragic recovery of the bodies of six hostages who were killed in Gaza.
Protesters from various parts of Israel have been calling for a general strike to put pressure on the government to secure a deal for the hostages. Tel Aviv mayor Ron Huldai expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of the hostages, stating, 'Eden, Carmel, Hersh, Ori, Almog, and Alex should have been at home now. Alive.' He urged the public to join in the protest and take to the streets.
Mayor Huldai announced that on Monday, municipal public services in Tel Aviv-Jaffa will be suspended from morning until noon. All employees are encouraged to show their support for the families of the hostages by participating in the strike.
