'Tekken 8' Reveals Bob's First Gameplay Trailer, Confirms Fan-Favorite's Return With Updated Look

Bandai Namco has officially released the first gameplay trailer for Bob in "Tekken 8," confirming the fan-favorite fighter's return as the next downloadable character. The latest reveal showcases Bob's signature blend of speed, power, and humor while announcing his official release date for players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Originally introduced in "Tekken 6," Bob became an instant fan favorite thanks to his unique fighting style and larger-than-life personality.

His return in "Tekken 8" preserves everything players loved about the character while taking advantage of the game's enhanced visuals and updated combat mechanics.

Bob Returns With His Signature Fighting Style

The newly released gameplay trailer highlights Bob's trademark combination of surprising agility and devastating attacks. Despite his heavyweight appearance, he remains one of the fastest fighters in the roster, chaining together quick combos, airborne strikes, and evasive movements that can overwhelm opponents.

Bandai Namco also leans into Bob's comedic personality. The trailer features him confidently absorbing attacks with his stomach before launching powerful counterattacks, accompanied by humorous voice lines that emphasize his carefree attitude.

His entrance animation also reflects his love of food, showing him carrying cheeseburgers alongside onigiri before stepping into battle. The playful introduction fits perfectly with Tekken's tradition of memorable and unconventional characters.

'Tekken 8' Bob Release Date

Bandai Namco has confirmed that Bob will officially join the "Tekken 8" roster on August 24.

Players who own the Season 3 Character Pass will receive early access beginning August 19, giving them several days to master the character before his worldwide release.

Bob becomes one of the latest DLC fighters added to Tekken 8, continuing Bandai Namco's post-launch support with new characters, gameplay updates, and competitive content.

Roger Jr. Officially Teased

According to PushSquare, the gameplay trailer ends with a surprise teaser for another returning character. Roger Jr., the iconic boxing kangaroo, briefly appears, confirming that he will also be joining the game's expanding roster.

Bandai Namco announced that Roger Jr.'s full gameplay reveal will take place during EVO France this October. Although only a short teaser was shown, it immediately generated excitement among longtime fans eager to see how the beloved character has been reimagined for "Tekken 8."

'Tekken 8' Continues Growing Its DLC Roster

Bob's return shows Bandai Namco's commitment to bringing back fan-favorite fighters while modernizing them for a new generation of players. His updated visuals, humorous personality, and fast-paced fighting style remain faithful to previous appearances while benefiting from Tekken 8's upgraded graphics and gameplay systems.

With Bob arriving this August and Roger Jr.'s full reveal scheduled for October, "Tekken 8" continues to expand its roster with a mix of nostalgic characters and fresh content.

For that reason, the popular fighting game won't be tamed even though a lot of fighting games have been released in recent years. It still stands as one of the premier titles that will continuously surprise fans with exciting DLCs.

As for the newest characters, the "Tekken 8" community witnessed the arrival of Muay Thai expert Fahkumram in Season 2 DLC.
