Tehran, Oman discussed 'appropriate mechanisms' to keep Hormuz shipping safe, says Iran

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held talks with his Omani counterpart on Saturday over mechanisms to ensure the safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz. The discussions came as diplomatic efforts continued around the strategic waterway amid renewed tensions between Tehran and Washington.
