Seven teenagers have been arrested after allegedly driving at an officer and hitting a police car in two stolen vehicles before leading a pursuit.
Police said officers spotted a stolen Volkswagen T-Roc SUV in Gungahlin about 8pm on Thursday, June 26.
Officers followed the SUV to Watson, where the car stopped alongside an allegedly stolen Volkswagen Golf hatchback.
When officers attempted to block the vehicles in a cul-de-sac, police allege both drivers mounted the kerb to escape, driving at an officer deploying stop-sticks and hitting a police vehicle before fleeing.
A police pursuit was initiated and the Golf stopped a short distance away. Four girls who were allegedly inside the vehicle were arrested.
The T-Roc was later found in Kingston, where three boys alleged to have been in the car were located nearby and arrested.
Police said four of the teenagers were subject to bail conditions or good behaviour obligations at the time of their arrest.
The teenagers, aged between 14 and 19, have been charged with offences including driving and riding in stolen motor vehicles, driving at police, failing to stop for police and driving while disqualified.
Six teenagers are scheduled to face the ACT Magistrates and Children's Court on Friday, while an 18-year-old woman will face court in October.
