Two teenagers repeatedly rammed a stolen car into the "wrong house" while children were believed to be inside.
Merseyside Police launched an investigation after a car was deliberately rammed into the front of a house on Raynham Road, Old Swan. Officers were called to the house yesterday, Saturday, November 12 after receiving reports a white Peugeot 3008 had been repeatedly reversed into the property.
The front wall under the window collapsed during the prolonged attack that happened at around 6.45pm when many of the occupants of the street were at home. A police spokesperson said there were occupants in the house at the time but no one is believed to have been injured.

The ECHO understands a nan with grandchildren and pet dogs live at the house. Pictures taken by the ECHO today showed various children's toys in the front garden as well as a number of neatly arranged plant pots. The front window which the car rammed into was heavily boarded up.
The sleepy close of semi-detached family houses stood quiet shortly after 1pm today. One neighbour, who did not want to be named, told the ECHO she was at home when the attack happened.
The said she believes the two teenagers driving the stolen car "got the wrong house". The woman, in her 60s, told the ECHO: "They apparently robbed a car and went into her house. We think they got the wrong house as the same thing happened in the first close over not too long ago.
"I was sat in the front room when it happened and assumed at first it was a lorry as it made a huge smash. The wall and the window were out. I came out from the front room and saw two teenagers in the car. I shouted at them as they got out and they ran and got into another car."
The neighbour added: " [The woman who lives in the house] lives there with her grandchildren. I think she was upstairs with some of them when it happened. The dogs were downstairs. She was in a bit of a state."
The stolen Peugeot, believed to have been on false plates and stolen in a burglary, was recovered at the scene by police. The two teenage males, both wearing dark clothing with their faces covered, fled the scene in a dark coloured car parked nearby. The car drove off in the direction of Gidlow Road South.
A police investigation is currently underway and CCTV, forensic and house-to-house enquiries are being carried out in the area.
Detective Inspector Dave Jones said: “This was a shocking incident which clearly could have had more serious consequences. Thankfully nobody was injured but the occupants were left shaken by the incident.
“We are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Raynham Road who saw the white Peugeot, or captured its movements on either dashcam or Ring doorbell footage to contact us. The occupants of the car, who are believed to be teenage males, were seen to leave the area in a second dark coloured car which left in the direction of Gidlow Road South. Did you see the car in the area or who was driving it? Please let us know. Any piece of information could be vital to our investigation.”
