A teenager who put her stomach ache down to being constipated found out that she was actually pregnant when she gave birth alone in her bedroom.
Niomi Thomas, 18, was on a nursery placement in 2021 when she started to experience back pain and stomach aches but she shrugged it off as constipation or period pains so took some pain killers.
However, the next morning her pain worsened to the extent that she could barely stand and when she lay down on her bed, she felt a sudden urge to push and gave birth to her baby daughter Talia Thomas, Wales Online reports.
