A man accused of murdering a teenage girl has ditched his lawyer and appointed a legal team including someone who has advised WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Shyanne-Lee Tatnell, 14, was staying at a youth hostel in Launceston in northern Tasmania when she went missing in April 2023.
