Teenager in critical condition after street fight in Tottenham

A teenager is in critical condition after a street fight in Tottenham on Friday afternoon.

Police rushed to Wood Green following reports of a brawl in Lymington Avenue which continued onto the High Road.

Officers found two males – aged 15 and 18 – at the scene with “cuts to their hands or wrist”.

The 15-year-old is fighting for his life in hospital. The man suffered serious injuries but his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at around 15:05hrs on Friday, 27 November, to reports of a fight in Lymington Avenue N22 which continued into the High Road, Tottenham. Officers attended along with LAS and found two men suffering cuts to their hands or wrist. Both have been taken to hospital.

“The condition of one of the males, aged 15, is currently being treated as critical. The condition of the second male, aged 18, is serious but not believed life-threatening. At present, nobody else is sought by police at this time.”
