A teenager was arrested after being found with stolen car keys by police.
Yesterday afternoon a 17-year-old male was spotted in Netherton acting suspiciously and after trying to evade arrest he was caught by the Sefton Community Team. During a police search, he was found with two car keys one of which from a Volkswagen Golf which is believed to be connected to a burglary in the Burscough area.
The other key is believed to be to a BMW X5 which was taken during a burglary in Aughton. The teenager, from Netherton, was arrested on Burglary Offences and a Breach of Court Order, enquires are ongoing and the male remains in custody.

Sefton Community Team comprises of groups of officers dedicated to serving the local community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area
A post on Sefton Police Facebook Page said: "Sefton Community Team have this afternoon arrested a 17-year-old male from the Netherton area for Burglary Offences and a Breach of Court Order. The male was sighted in the Netherton area and despite his best efforts of trying to evade capture he was detained.
"During a search the male was found in possession of two car keys. One of these related to a Volkswagen Golf which was outstanding stolen from a Burglary in the Burscough area. The BMW key was found to relate to an outstanding stolen BMW X5 which was taken during a Burglary in the Aughton area.
"Enquires are ongoing and the male remains in custody."
