Police prosecutors have revealed they're still waiting for the results of an autopsy on the body of an Uber driver more than two months after he was allegedly murdered by two teenagers on Queensland's Fraser Coast.
The case of Tye Wayne Porter, 18, charged with the alleged murder of Scott Cabrie, 47, was mentioned in the Hervey Bay Magistrates court on Thursday morning.
The Toogoom man's body was found near a boat ramp at Howard, 280km north of Brisbane, on February 12.
Mr Cabrie, who also worked at a local radio station, was reported missing to police several days earlier.
Case adjourned
Friends of Mr Cabrie were inside court to hear an update on the case, but Mr Porter's appearance was excused.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Sonia Edwards told the court police were still waiting on autopsy results.
Magistrate Trinity McGarvie adjourned the case until June 1, which she said was a "longer than ordinary adjournment" due to an extensive brief of evidence.
The case of a 17-year-old co-accused, who is also charged with murder, is before the Hervey Bay Children's court.
