A teenager has been arrested and charged after a man, aged 19, was stabbed in East London.
The victim is still recovering from critical injuries in hospital a week after the violent incident on Sunday April 1.
Police were called to reports of a man being stabbed on Mile End Road in Bow just after 3pm.
Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the 19-year-old man was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition, Metropolitan Police said on Saturday.
An investigation was launched, led by detectives from the Met’s Central East CID.
On Wednesday Mohammed Shohid, 18, of Bow, was arrested in connection with the incident.
He was charged on Thursday with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
The police investigation continues.
