Teenage girl rushed to Glasgow hospital after being hit by car at bus stop

A young girl was rushed to hospital this morning after being struck by a car at a Glasgow bus stop.

The incident took place on Kingsland Drive in the Cardonald area this morning (February 24).

Police and emergency services were alerted to the scene just after 9am to reports of a one car crash, the Daily Record reports.

Local eyewitness reports suggest that the teenager was standing at a bus stop when a car lost control on the road and skidded and hit her. The girl is also reported to have suffered a broken ankle as a result of the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 9.05am on Thursday, 24 February, to a report of a one crash on Kingsland Drive, Glasgow.

"A teenage girl was injured as a result of the crash and has been taken to hospital for treatment.”
