A teenager has accidentally transformed himself to look like Jim Carrey 's Dum and Dumber character after giving himself a haircut.
The "stubborn" schoolboy ignored his mum' s suggestion to go to the barbers, instead cutting his hair using a pair of kitchen scissors.
He was left looking like the iconic film character after the trim went wrong - but thankfully he saw the funny side even though his mum was not impressed.
Carly Bickerdyke, 34, said she had been pestering her son Mason Prady, 14, for months to visit a barber.
And she was left in shock when her son took the task upon himself - and ended up looking like he had stepped straight out of the comedy film.

The teen showed off his new trim by appearing on the Ring doorbell camera so his mum could see it while at work - grinning with a short, straight, bowl cut style fringe just like Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumber.
A shocked Carly responded: "Why have you done that? You're not even funny".
But the mum-of-three admits she was left "crying with laughter" after noticing the similarly, even though Mason was unaware he had a lookalike.
Carly, from Stalybridge, Greater Manchester, said: "My cousin sent me a photo of the Dumb and Dumber haircut and Mason came in my room, I looked at him and couldn't unsee it.
"He didn't even know who Jim Carrey was so he googled him and he was laughing at it. He's seen some of the films like The Mask but he doesn't know him by name.
"Him and his friends were in stitches looking at the pictures."
The year nine pupil had been growing his hair for months in the hope of getting a perm but his fringe had started to irritate his eyes.
Carly explained: "I've been telling him to get his hair cut for weeks and he's been saying no.
"He's quite stubborn, if he's not doing something, he's not doing it. His fringe was in his way and getting on his nerves so he trimmed it himself."
Unfortunately, it looks like a perm will be out of the question for some time, as the pair are planning a trip to the barbers.
"We're going to get the barbers to sort it out. He'll have to have a short fringe and back and sides," said the mum. "He'll have to grow it out again if he wants a perm."
But the thinks her cheeky teen will nonetheless be happy with the outcome.
"He's a character, he likes to make people laugh," she explained.
Carly added: "He was probably trying to entertain himself with school being over.
"It's not the first time he's done something like this. He saw a trend on TikTok of people putting tape on their eyebrows so he did it and took his eyebrows off. It's normal for him."
And the mishap, which left the family giggling for days, has proved to be a great source of entertainment, with Carly now planning to get Mason and his siblings to watch Dumb and Dumber.
