An 18-year-old man is expected to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Tuesday, April 11 following the death of another man in the city centre.
Emergency crews were called to an address on South Methven Street at around 9.40pm on Saturday, April 8 with police confirming that a 20-year-old man had been pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers investigating the incident said that they were treating the death as suspicious.
The force then confirmed that two males, aged 18 and 17, had been arrested in connection with the incident.
A statement issued today read: “Around 9.40pm on Saturday, April 8, we were called to a report of a man being seriously injured in South Methven Street, Perth.
“Emergency services attended and a 20-year-old was pronounced dead a short time later. An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death. He is due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Tuesday, April 11.
“A 17-year-old man was arrested but released pending further enquiries.
“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
