A young soldier has suddenly died at a Scots army barracks.
Emergency crews were called to Glencorse Barracks on Edinburgh Road in Penicuik, Midlothian, in response to the death of the 17-year-old man at 7.40am on Tuesday.
Officers investigating the incident say that while there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances, they are currently treating the death as unexplained. A report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
