Teen mum who took toddler as prom date is 'incredible role model'

A teen mum who took her toddler to prom with her was described as an "incredible role model".

Melissa Mccabe, 16, from Tranmere, found out she was pregnant age 14, before giving birth to her little boy, Arthur in November 2020. Melissa described her one-year-old son as her "little blessing" and told The ECHO how she was inundated with negative comments about the impact of having a child so young when she first found out she was expecting.

However, the former Ridgeway High School student is keen to break the stigma that surrounds being a teen mum.
