Teen killed in Scots road crash as police close road for eight hours

A teenager has been killed in a horror road crash on a major Scots road in Argyll and Bute.

The 19-year-old was driving a black Renault Clio when it crashed on the A83 between Ardgenavan and Clachan, five miles north-east of Inveraray, at around 9pm on Sunday April 30. Emergency services were called but the teen was pronounced dead at the scene.

Road policing cops closed the road for around eight hours while they carried out a full investigation, lifting the cordon at around 5am. They have launched an appeal for information in a bid to establish the full circumstances of the collision.
