Many of the biggest games in South American football draw far more spectators outside the stadiums than inside them. Fans watch on television and radio and, increasingly, on social media, where anyone with a mobile phone and a microphone can build an audience. One such commentator is Cliver Huamán Sánchez, a teenager from Huampica, in the Andes of Peru, who narrates football matches online under the name Pol Deportes. For the Copa Libertadores final in Lima, he travelled from his home region to cover the match live. He was not allowed into the stadium and instead narrated it from a nearby hill.
