Teen charged with murder over NSW stabbing

An 18-year-old man has been charged with murder over the killing of another teen in NSW town Casino. (AAP)

An 18-year-old man will face a NSW court charged with murder over the apparent fatal stabbing of another teen at the weekend.

Emergency services were called to a home at Casino in NSW's Northern Rivers region early on Saturday morning on reports of a stabbing.

Police arrived to find the younger teenager with wounds to his neck, who died at the scene.

A crime scene was established and the area searched with police dogs.

The 18-year-old was arrested at his home on Sunday morning and taken to the Casino police station where he was charged with murder.

His home has been declared a crime scene and is being forensically examined.

The man was refused bail and will appear in Lismore Local Court on Monday.
