A teenager has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Stockport. The man, in his 50s, was taken to hospital in the early hours of Sunday, April 30, after being found with serious injuries at a house on Glebe Street, Offerton.
He died three days later. Joseph McGowan, 19, of Glebe Street, Offerton, was previously charged with attempted murder. Today (Friday) he appeared before Manchester magistrates' court where he was charged with murder.

He has been remanded into custody to appear before the same court on Monday. Speaking following the victim's death Det Chief Insp Simon Moyles said: "Our thoughts remain with the family of the man who has sadly died.
"Specially trained officers continue to liaise with them and ensure they are fully updated. The investigation team is following a number of lines of enquiry to understand the circumstances surrounding the death. As such, officers remain in the area to conduct house-to-house.
"Plain clothed and uniformed officers will be present in and around the Glebe Street area. Anyone who has concerns or questions is encouraged to speak to them."
