Gardai have arrested six people while carrying out a number of searches in Letterkenny on Tuesday, December 6.
The arrests come as part of Operation Thor, which was designed to tackle the anticipated increase in the number of burglaries and associated criminal activity that usually occurs in winter months by undertaking targeted enforcement and preventative activity.
During the operation, four properties were searched under warrants and six people - three men and three women, ages ranging from late teens to early 40s - were arrested.

As well as this, a number of mobile phones and documents were seized and a small amount of cash was also taken.
An 18-year-old was charged in relation to the operation and brought before Letterkenny District Court yesterday, Tuesday, December 6 2022 but was released on bail.
The five others arrested were detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at different Garda stations in Donegal.
They have all since been charged in relation to this operation and are due to appear before Letterkenny District Court this morning Wednesday, 7th December 2022 at 10:30 am.
Investigations are ongoing.
