Warner Bros CEO Channing Dungey has confirmed that Ted Lasso doesn't have to end after the upcoming third season.
The popular football mini-series took home four gongs at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards last year, including back-to-back wins for Outstanding Comedy Series for both its first and second seasons.
Set up for a third installment later this year, AFC Richmond coach Nate (Nick Mohammed) is set to go toe-to-toe with Ted (Jason Sudeikis), as he takes over the reins at fellow Premier League club West Ham United.

Set to air once more on Apple TV, Dungey has spoken candidly about the show's potential to go on even further, with its perfectly poised storyline hard to say goodbye to so quickly.
“What had initially been the vision that Jason and Bill [Lawrence] had when they went into season one, was very much a three-act structure,'' he recently told Screenrant. ''Then I think it becomes one of those things that as you get going with it, and if you fall in love with that world and those characters, it’s hard to say goodbye.
''The end of the season, it ends beautifully. If that is all we do in the Ted Lasso universe, I think the fans will be really happy and excited. But there’s also a way to crack open a door. If we’re fortunate enough to do more, we can keep on going."
