Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz has been forced to delete a tribute to the late country music superstar Dolly Parton after the account he quoted quickly changed its username to humiliate him.
Responding to Parton’s sad passing this week, Cruz reposted on X a clip from the @lebatardshowfan account of her appearing on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson from September 1979 in which she serenaded the host with a specially written song to thank him for supporting her.
