Technical climbing pants are the do-it-all solution for summer

Climber-favorite brand Gramicci has teamed up with Nonnative for a pair of pants that should be on everybody’s radar. Boasting Gore-Tex Infinium fabric, the Climber Easy Pants look like part khakis, part cargos, and can withstand the challenges of a solid outdoor trek. Even if you’re not a climber, the duo’s collab history shows the pants will be too good not to wear everywhere else.

Climb to the top —

Available in taupe, navy blue, and black, the pants are designed as a no-frills addition to your outdoor getup. Thanks to the Gore-Tex taffeta element, the material allows the pants to be lightweight but still stretchy enough to be mobile. A gusseted crotch offers even more flexibility if you need to climb or take a longer step.

Signature details include Gramicci’s built-in belt and its traditional loose-fit style. Because weather can often be one of the biggest obstacles on a hike, Gore-Tex Infinium provides repelling for both water and wind. These pants don’t have as much design detailing as previous Gramicci collabs, but in this case, the simpleness just adds to its charm.

Longtime buddies —

This isn’t the first time the two brands have linked on a technical capsule and it won’t be the last. Although their previous collabs have featured more pieces than their latest — from pants to fleeces to shorts — the duo bonds over its Japanese influence and streetwear roots.

If you’re unfamiliar, Gramicci was founded in California in the mid-’80s, but due to its roomy fits and durable materials, the brand become a go-to for skaters in the ‘90s. Nonnative is a Japan-based brand that specializes in simplistic pieces that are inspired by trips around the world, according to designer Takayuki Fujii.

Gramicci and Nonnative’s Gore-Tex Infinium Climber Easy Pants will be available on June 18. They retail for $258 ,and you can score a pair exclusively through Nonnative’s Coverchord outpost, which ships internationally. If the collab sparks inspiration to build your outdoor-friendly wardrobe, rest assured there are plenty of choices out there.
