Molly-Mae Hague has opened up about how the negatives comments about her daughter's name and the impact they have had on her.
The former Love Island star, 23, says the day she shared her newborn's unique moniker online was "a really hard day" and reminded her "how nasty this world can be".
Molly-Mae - who shares daughter Bambi with boyfriend Tommy Fury - admits she knows her child's name is unusual but she and her boxer beau were "used to it" and weren't expecting such a backlash.
The new parents - who officially announced last month that their first child was born on January 23 - have divided fans thanks to naming their baby daughter Bambi.
Molly-Mae previously admitted people would either "love or hate" her child's moniker - explaining she had the name picked out since she was a baby girl herself.
The PrettyLittleThing creative director was forced to turn the ability to comment off on her post last week, as she shared a snap of her newborn daughter and revealed her name.
Speaking about that decision in her latest YouTube video, the new mum recalls: "The long awaited name reveal was a really hard day for me, I'll be completely honest with you.
"I had to switch the Instagram comments off on that post. I was brought back down to earth very quickly and [reminded] how nasty this world can be."
Molly-Mae went on to explain how she and Tommy had "always known our first baby girl was going to be called Bambi" so to them, the name wasn't unusual.
"I know it is unusual and unique, and not to everyone's tastes, but when we announced it... it's just a beautiful name... but two seconds after posting it? Oh my God!" Molly-Mae adds when sharing her birth story on YouTube.
"I don't know why I'm talking about this as it's supposed to be a really positive video, but yeah..."
As Molly-Mae revealed Bambi's name last week, many took to social media to discuss the newborn's unique title and the 1942 Disney film of the same name.
"Does Molly-Mae not know what happened to Bambi’s mum," one Twitter user mused as the new mum shared a snap of her newborn's nursery and revealed her child's name to fans.
"Oh deer," one cheeky commentator added, with another suggesting: "I mean I love molly-mae but let’s be serious if anyone else called their wain Bambi they’d be hung drawn n quartered."
"Molly mae had 24 hours to pick the name but chose Bambi. let’s hope they never go ice skating," one Twitter user joked - referencing the new mum's infamous past comments about work ethic.
It seems Molly-Mae was prepared for the mixed reaction to her baby's name, thanks to the star previously admitting she knew people would either love or hate her first born child's title.
When discussing her baby name ideas while pregnant, the star explained: "It's not made up, it's totally not made up, I can't explain it. It's just not a name that's ever been used before. It's very very different and rare and you're either going to love it or hat
"I've had the name picked out since I was a baby girl myself. It's always been a dream baby girl name and luckily when I met Tommy and I told him the name I've always dreamt of using, he absolutely loved it too.
"It's a really really unusual and a different name, I do not know anybody else with the name. I've not seen any other girls with the name before, it's that different.
