Gogglebox star Babatunde Aleshe has so far had a jungle experience to forget - backing out of a trial and then admitting he was scared at the jungle camp.
Teamed up with Charlene White and Jill Scott for The Ledge challenge 32 storeys up, he appeared tearful and then became one of the quickest celebs in the history of the show to quit the trial.
Before it had started, a nervous Babatunde, 36, joked: “It’s windy, that’s contributing to the water in my eyes…”
Charlene was up first and walked bit by bit to the end of the plank. She was waiting for Babatunde to reach the end next.
He attempted to urge himself on, telling himself, “Just go! Just go!” but instead said “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!”
Charlene then had to wait for Jill to get to the end before they could both lean forward. They completed the 60 seconds and both let go of the rope to complete the task and therefore earned two stars for camp.
Afterwards, Charlene admitted: “It’s going to take me a long time to process it.”
Speaking about why he chose to forfeit his go and star, Babatunde said: “I said I was determined to be here. I wasn’t determined to be there [pointing to the plank].”
The trio then were shown going into camp and Babatunde said in the Bush Telegraph: “My first thoughts on camp - I’m a bit scared… I just want to survive the night, that’s it.”
Trying out the bed situation, Jill fell straight out of a hammock. She laughed: “Oh god, the hammock. Somebody has to sleep in that, I can’t even lie in it.”
Sue Cleaver, Mike Tindall and Owen Warner arrived after completing a Critter Cruise challenge where they managed to win all three stars. Mike then helped the others get a fire going and they prepared to sleep under the stars for the first time.
Before going on the show, nervous Babatunde admitted it would be a big challenge to take part and he would be "freaking out" every five mins. He said: “I am going to see what happens but I know I will be doing a lot of screaming for sure!
"I am not looking forward to any trials but in terms of the one I am dreading the most, I saw one where someone was lying in a box and they put things into the box like snakes and mice. Now that would freak me out. I think I will lose it!”
