Team USA Women’s Curling Results: U.S. Falls Short of Bronze Medal in 10–7 Loss to Canada

Tabitha Peterson and the Team USA women’s curling team just missed making U.S. Olympic history on Saturday.

Competing in the bronze medal game for the first time since 2002, the U.S. came up just short of claiming its first-ever medal in women’s curling with a 10–7 loss to Canada.

Team USA led 3–2 heading into the 6th end when disaster struck. A couple of costly misses opened the door for Canada to score three and take a 5–3 lead. U.S. rallied for a deuce in the 7th to tie it 5–5, but Canada answered with another three-point end. U.S. stayed in the game with two points in the 9th, but it wasn’t enough. Canada secured the bronze—its first medal in women’s curling since 2014.

Team USA’s fourth-place finish is tied for the best result in U.S. women’s curling at the Olympics with Kari Erickson’s squad in 2002.

The U.S. women’s team finishes the 2026 Winter Olympics with a 6–5 overall record.
